HCP Open Lab

An open laboratory studying the boundaries of perspective, information and identity.

The Open Lab lets anyone take part in short, blinded, preregistered experiments. Every trial follows a fixed protocol, every response is locked before any feedback is shown, and every outcome — including the unremarkable ones — enters the same record.

Remote Perception Study 001

Open for trials

Can participants describe a hidden target under conditions designed to eliminate normal sensory access?

Question: Can participants describe target-specific information under blinded conditions without normal access to the target?

Protocol v1.0 · Pool pool-1

Take part in a trial

Future Target Study

Coming soon

Can responses contain information about a target that is selected only after the response has been locked?

Question: Can a locked response contain information about a target selected afterwards?

Protocol v0.1 · Pool pool-1

OBE Study

Coming soon

Prospective registration and blinded testing of reported out-of-body perception attempts.

Question: Can prospectively registered out-of-body perception attempts yield target-specific information?

Protocol v0.1 · Pool pool-1

Continuity Study

Research program

Longitudinal blinded research into claimed post-mortem communication and identity continuity.

Question: Can the same claimed identity demonstrate continuity across independent blinded sessions?

Protocol v1.0 · Pool pool-1

How the Open Lab works

Blinded by construction

The material you are asked about is selected and committed by the server before you write anything. Nothing about it reaches your browser until your response is locked.

Locked before feedback

Your description is written once, hashed, and stored immutably. It cannot be edited after you see the candidate images.

Preregistered and versioned

Each experiment records its protocol version and target pool version on every trial, so results can only ever be read against the protocol that produced them.

No claims beyond the data

A single trial says nothing about anyone. Individual outcomes are not evidence of ability, and the Open Lab does not present them as such.

Participation does not require belief

Taking part does not require believing in anything. Chance alone produces hits at the expected rate, and a correct trial is exactly what chance looks like part of the time.

The Open Lab is separate from the project's confirmatory research record. Open Lab data is exploratory and is reported as such.
