Disclaimer
No medical or mental-health advice
The Continuity Project conducts research. It does not diagnose, treat, counsel or provide care, and nothing produced by the project should be used as a basis for a health decision.
Not a clinical service
Sessions, transcripts, judging outcomes and study reports are research records. They are not assessments of anyone's health, grief, or state of mind, and they are not therapy, counselling, bereavement care or spiritual care.
Not personal guidance
No participant is given an interpretation of session material as advice about their life, their relationships, their health, their finances or their legal affairs. Coordinators are instructed to decline such requests and to refer the participant to appropriate support.
Do not delay or change care
Never delay seeking, or discontinue, medical or mental-health treatment because of anything encountered through this project. Decisions about medication, treatment or clinical care belong with a qualified professional who knows your history.
If you need support now
If you are in distress or at risk of harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country immediately. For bereavement support, a general practitioner, a registered therapist or a recognised bereavement organisation in your country is the right first contact. Project staff cannot provide, arrange or supervise care.
